Leveraging Knowledge for the Water Sector

Arghyam 1st Annual conference, This conference aimed to look at the role that Knowledge Sharing plays in addressing issues of water management in our country. The invitees were many leaders in this sector who come from organizations working on complementary aspects of water, from agriculture to research and policy, from traditional water structures to innovative new solutions. From the discussions over the two days, the objective was to distill the Key Areas of Knowledge-Building for this sector and the finer modalities of why, what, who, where and how of knowledge in water management.

Presentation of Arghyam’s initiative, the India Water Portal, as one such effort towards knowledge management. It is an open, inclusive, web-based platform that seeks to Aggregate, Organize and Present information.
