Conference on Legislative instruments for achieving participatory IRBM: Maharashtra Water Resources regulatory Authority Act

Summary 

It is proposed that a one-day conference be held to brain storm on possible recommendations, amendments and to explore ways for community participation. Stakeholders will be the community, civil society, government officials and policy makers.

Why This Project?

• To introduce the stakeholders to Maharashtra Water Resources regulatory Authority Act and to enable discussions and negotiations with a multi stakeholder forum that seeks participation from all strata of society.

Activities Planned: 

• To organize a one-day conference.
• To publish a document on Introduction to IRBM, Summary of the Act and the findings from the conference and circulate it amongst a wider network of stakeholders in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
