Organizing "Voices of Water" International Film Festival on Water

Summary

A four day Film Festival, followed by a conference, has been planned that will bring together film makers, scholars and grassroots level activists from India who are engaged with water issues for a dialogue with participants throughout the festival. A few international activists/thinkers who deal with the issue of water will also be invited.

Why This Project?

• To create awareness among the general public and sensitize them to the water problems faced by people around the world.

Target group

Water practitioners and the general public.

Activities Planned: 

• Collecting films related to water from all over the world and short-listing the ones that could be screened.
• Screening of the films.
• Organizing a conference on water issues and how people are tackling it across the country.
