High fluoride levels in water are prevalent in 16 states in India, affecting over 66 million people. The aim of this project was to assess the feasibility of creating an enterprise centric model and supply chain for the delivery of filters and related services to remove fluoride from drinking water in rural areas.
During its 18 years of existence, OUTREACH has covered approximately 900 villages along with 36 grass root NGO partners to whom technical and managerial support services are provided. The main thrust of OUTREACH is community based poverty alleviation and restoration of degraded primary environments in drought prone areas in South India.
