On September 1, 2009, Rohini Nilekani, Chairperson and Sunita Nadhamuni, CEO Arghyam made a presentation on the strategies for strengthening watsan sector before the Thirteenth Finance Commission (TFC) in New Delhi. Arghyam was invited by the TFC to give high level inputs to strengthen the water sector. The submissions were based on Arghyam's work through partners across 14 States in India through 52 projects spread over 700 villages and over 1 million people.
